From its beginning as the Department of Home Affairs and its influence on Irish culture through the Censorship Board, this Department has a rich history that we want to share and make accessible to all. The 3D Virtual Tour of 51 St. Stephen’s Green gives exclusive, interactive behind the scenes access so you can explore this historically and architecturally significant building. You can explore some of the building’s most notable rooms, see the Minister’s Office, the Minister of State’s Office, the Secretary General’s office and visit the boardroom, all from the comfort of your own home.
In addition, you can learn more about the pre-history of the Department through a video presentation. The presentation contains clips from old newsreels, photographs, and more (narrated in Irish with English subs).
